BEHIND IT.
I'm Zaden. I've been running D&D since well before it became a business - starting with a school club I founded, which still runs today. Private hire came later, conventions and events followed after that. Over that time I've run 131 sessions for 428 players aged 6 to 84, across school groups, private campaigns, kids' game nights, and convention tables.
D&D is also where ZDPrinting started. The printer arrived to make better terrain and minis for the table. That's still going - there's a fully custom modular terrain system in development, battle-tested on the home table, that will be available to clients when it's done.
Campaigns use published adventures as a starting point, which I cut apart and rebuild: removing what doesn't work, expanding what does, and layering in original content around whoever is at the table. One-shots are almost always fully homebrew. Before any session I send through a questionnaire so I know what you want, then build the session around your group from there.
If you want to try something creative, even if it stretches the rules a bit, I'll usually let it happen once. What follows depends entirely on how broken it turns out to be.
I arrive 30 to 60 minutes early to every session to set things up before anyone walks in. If your group has players who are new to D&D (not just new to this session), I have a purpose-built one-shot that covers the core mechanics so nobody's lost when it counts.
“Im Aj! Ive been playing D&D since 2023, after baldur’s gate 3 introduced me to the wonderful world of the forgotten realms. I love drama and acting, so expect some fun voices!”
Hey, I’m Magnus, I’m 16 years old, my pronouns are he/they and I’ve been playing D&D as well as other miscellaneous TTRPGs for a few years now.
Greetings traveler, join me a moment. The name is Louis, and I have many a tale to tell you.

BEFORE YOU
ROLL.
The practical bits people normally want to know before choosing a table.
Where are public D&D sessions held in Sydney?
Regular Sunday public sessions run at Professor Plums in Crows Nest. Some sessions run at Decked Out Gaming in Brookvale. The exact venue, date and time are shown on every session listing before you book.
Can I join if I have never played D&D before?
Yes. Complete beginners are welcome. I explain the core rules before play begins, supply the dice and materials you need, and help with your character so you can start without doing homework first.
Can I come to a public session by myself?
Absolutely. You can book one seat and meet the rest of the party at the table, or book several seats and bring friends. The listing shows how many places are still available.
Do public sessions require an ongoing commitment?
One-shots are standalone adventures, so you can book a single session. Campaign listings show their available dates and booking options up front, so you can see the commitment before paying.
How much does a private D&D session cost?
Private one-shots start at $75.00 per hour and ongoing campaigns start at $50.00 per hour, for up to eight players per table. Sessions are normally three to four hours and have a two-hour minimum. Travel or extra-table costs are confirmed before you commit.
What should I bring to a D&D session?
Just bring yourself. Dice, character sheets and the materials needed to play are supplied. If a particular session needs anything unusual, it will be explained in the listing and your confirmation email.
